Acceptable use policy
What may and may not be sold or done through the NORVIK platform.
1. Scope
This policy forms part of our terms of service and applies to every account, API key and integration. The payment partner that processes your payments applies its own rules, which may be stricter; where they conflict, the stricter rule applies.
2. Prohibited activities
- Selling goods or services that are illegal where you or your customer are located.
- Fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing or evasion of sanctions.
- Counterfeit goods, stolen data or goods infringing intellectual property.
- Routing payments on behalf of a third party that has not been approved on your account.
- Misrepresenting what is sold, its price, or the identity of the seller.
- Deliberately generating chargebacks, or using the platform to test stolen card numbers.
3. Restricted activities
Some businesses require prior approval by the payment partner and may need additional documentation or be subject to a higher reserve under its terms, including regulated products, high-value goods, travel, subscriptions with free trials and businesses with delayed delivery. Ask us before going live.
4. Use of the API and the merchant CRM
- Do not share API keys or use another merchant's keys.
- Do not attempt to bypass rate limits, fraud screening or security controls.
- Use customer records in the CRM only for your legitimate business with those customers, and in line with the law that applies to you.
- Do not import or store in the CRM data you are not entitled to hold.
5. Enforcement
Breach of this policy may lead to suspension or closure of your NORVIK account, to the payment partner applying its own rules (including holds on settlement while a matter is investigated), and to reporting to authorities where required. Report suspected misuse to contact@norvik.club.
